Forest certification systems guarantee the responsible management of forests in a social, environmental, and economic context, as well as ensure the traceability of wood-based products. At GEA Forestal we are leaders in the creation and management of groups for the FSC Certification.
The Instruments for Sustainable Forest Management serve as forestry planning tools that analyze the surrounding environment and put forth the best possible forestry practices to ensure both the sustainable exploitation and preservation of forest resources.
Research, development, and innovation are three core pillars to our work at GEA Forestal. Currently, we are developing projects related to forest management and exploitation using satelite images, UAVs, pine rosin mechanic extraction, tree sensors, etc.
We provide consultancy in the environmental field, as well as develop projects, studies, assessments, and reports to deliver individualized solutions for any company or particular forest. We manage grants for both public and private organizations.
We offer training courses related to forest certification and forest management, and we participate in conferences and lectures related to the forestry field.
At GEA Forestal we carry out many different forestry practices, such as the creation and supervision of forest roads and trails, clearing brush, fire breaks, silviculture treatments, firewood management, non-wood-based forest products, and forest waste. We are responsible for finding and processing grants to help finance these projects.
